Who We Are
Aqua Medical Spa is a physician-led aesthetic medicine clinic at 570 Wonderland Road North in London, Ontario, founded by Dr. Edward D. Armogan, MD, CCFP, FCFP in 2004. The London clinic is the original Aqua practice and the flagship of the group, which also includes a second Ontario location in Mississauga serving the Greater Toronto Area.
What sets Aqua apart is simple and rare: Dr. Armogan personally evaluates every patient before any treatment, whether it is an injectable, a laser procedure, a skin treatment, or a medical consultation. This has been true of every patient since the clinic opened in 2004. The clinic offers more than 14 cosmetic and therapeutic treatments, including Botox, dermal fillers, lipodissolve body contouring, fractional laser resurfacing, intense pulsed light, platelet-rich plasma therapy, chemical peels, and therapeutic treatments for chronic conditions such as hyperhidrosis.
Dr. Armogan has practised both family medicine and aesthetic medicine since 1992, making him one of the longest-serving aesthetic medicine physicians in Ontario. He is an Allergan-certified advanced injector for Botox and Juvederm, a Medicis-certified provider of Restylane and Perlane, a Fellow of the College of Family Physicians of Canada, and is registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario under CPSO #62095. Clinical operations are led by Clinical Director Vimal, who has been with the practice since 2001.
Our Story
Aqua Medical Spa began in 2004 in a clinic on Southdale Road East in London. Some longtime patients still remember that first address. Dr. Armogan had been practising medicine since 1992, and unlike many physicians who move into aesthetics late in their careers, he worked in aesthetic medicine from the very beginning. His first training came one day a week alongside a London dermatologist, performing collagen injections for lip lines, and he was offering Botox in his own office before it became a mainstream cosmetic treatment.
The name "Aqua" came from a quiet moment. Dr. Armogan and his mother were sitting on a cruise ship, watching the water. It looked calm and soothing, and that feeling was exactly the patient experience he wanted to create. The name stuck.
In 2015, the London practice moved to its current home on Wonderland Road North, a clinic custom-built from the ground up for aesthetic medicine. A second Ontario location opened in Mississauga in 2005 to serve patients across the Greater Toronto Area, and the practice later expanded internationally. Through every stage of that growth, one principle has not changed: this is doctor-led aesthetic medicine, where the physician sees you first and the treatment plan is built around your individual needs.
Our Philosophy
Dr. Armogan describes the Aqua approach as cellular beauty, beauty from the inside out. The goal is never an exaggerated, obvious result. It is a natural look that leaves you appearing brighter, fresher, and rested, like a better version of yourself rather than a different person.
The clinic sums up its goal in a single phrase the team returns to again and again: restoring you to yourself, five to ten years ago. The most common worry patients bring to a first visit is that they will end up looking unnatural, like the overdone results they have seen in the media. Aqua answers that worry with restraint, judgment, and a refusal to perform treatments that are unsafe, unnecessary, or simply not right for the patient, regardless of what someone is willing to pay.
“I never recommend a treatment I wouldn't perform on my mother.”Dr. Edward D. Armogan, MD, CCFP, FCFP — Founder & Medical Director
What Guides Our Practice
Dr. Armogan personally evaluates every patient before any treatment, including laser and skin procedures. This has been true of every patient since 2004.
We aim to restore you to yourself, not to chase trends or create an obvious, overdone look. If a request is not right for you, we will say so.
We decline treatments that are unsafe, unnecessary, or unsuitable, even when a patient is willing to pay for them. The outcome matters more than the sale.
We do not sell standalone procedures. Every patient receives a customized treatment plan, often combining therapies, built around their individual anatomy and goals.
Our Defining Difference
At many clinics, a nurse or technician trained over a single week may be the only person you ever see. At Aqua, that is not how it works, and it never has been.
Since the clinic opened in 2004, there has not been a single patient Dr. Armogan has not personally met with before treatment. This applies to everything: injectables, laser hair removal, microdermabrasion, and every consultation. When Dr. Armogan is not physically on site, the evaluation happens by video consultation. A trained medical associate is also present with the physician and patient throughout.
For patients, this often comes as a welcome surprise. Many are not used to a doctor personally reviewing something like a laser hair removal or a microdermabrasion treatment. For Aqua, it is simply the standard, and it is the single biggest reason patients trust the clinic with their care.

Learn MoreSafety Standards
Many cosmetic clinics handle their own instrument cleaning using diluted enzymatic solutions, a process suited to everyday items but not to true surgical sterilization. Aqua does not cut that corner.
Because Aqua operates as an established medical practice rather than a spa, instrument sterilization is outsourced to a surgical sterilization department, the same standard used to prepare instruments for the operating room. It is a level of infection control that goes beyond what is typical even among medical clinics, and it reflects the clinic's view that aesthetic medicine should be held to medical and surgical standards, not spa standards.
The Consultation Experience
A first consultation at Aqua takes about an hour, and it is designed to inform rather than to sell. Here is how it unfolds.
You call and tell us your concerns. We gather basic details and, if you like, email your consultation paperwork in advance so your visit moves smoothly.
We confirm your appointment a week ahead and send a courtesy reminder the day before, so the timing always works for you.
You are greeted and taken to our lounge with water and cookies, and offered a warm towel scented with essential oil, a small business-class touch patients love.
In a confidential consultation room, a trained associate reviews your paperwork, completes a full assessment, takes consultation photos, and answers your questions. This first half takes 25 to 30 minutes.
Dr. Armogan is briefed on your concerns, then comes in to complete the consultation, address what you came for, and note anything else he observes. A medical associate stays in the room throughout.
Together we outline a treatment plan and book your next step, or schedule a follow-up if you would like time to think. There is never pressure to decide on the spot.

Advanced & Specialized Expertise
Because every treatment is performed or directed by a physician with more than three decades of experience, Aqua takes on advanced and delicate work that many nurse-led or technician-led clinics are not equipped to handle. These include:
A good example is post-stroke facial balancing. When one side of the face has become asymmetrical after a stroke, Dr. Armogan can treat the unaffected side to restore visual balance, helping patients feel like themselves again. This is the kind of judgment-based, anatomy-driven work that only comes with deep clinical experience, and it reflects the clinic's belief that the real expertise lies in the plan, the skill, and the knowledge behind every treatment.

Physician-Developed Skincare
Dr. Armogan has developed his own medical-grade skincare line, refined over more than 15 years of clinical practice. The line is built on prescription-strength actives that are not available over the counter.
Its lead products are based on retinoic acid, the prescription-grade active that a physician can prescribe, rather than the milder retinol found in retail products. The range also features peptide-focused formulations, vitamin C serums, and other bioactive ingredients chosen for results. Lead products include Treat and Aqua Ultra Clear.
Alongside its own line, the clinic carries a curated selection of trusted professional brands, including Vivier, Latisse, Glo Minerals, and Illumier, available through the clinic. For patients outside London, skincare can be prescribed through a virtual consultation and shipped directly.
Community & Care
Aqua's commitment to care extends beyond treatments. The clinic provides pro bono treatments for disadvantaged patients and patients living with disabilities when a treatment is genuinely needed but out of financial reach, and Dr. Armogan has given his time and skill to charitable causes over the years.
The clinic also offers a discount of 15 to 25 percent for medical professionals, including doctors, dentists, and nurses, in recognition of their work in healthcare.
